Washington Tobacco Asset Securitization Corporation
About the Corporation
The Washington Tobacco Asset Securitization Corporation (WTASC) was established by Washington County on October 17, 2000, as a domestic, not-for-profit local development corporation. The corporation was established as a single-purpose financing vehicle to maximize revenues available to the County under the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement between 46 States and the four largest tobacco manufacturers with the resulting public purpose of benefiting taxpayers of the County through current and future revenue maximization.
