According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on January 9, 2017 at about 06:06 AM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kyle Hayes, 23, of Hudson Falls after a clerk at a local convenience store reported a vehicle leaving the parking lot with the operator appearing to be intoxicated.
Patrols searched the area and were unable to locate the vehicle until the clerk called back reporting the same vehicle and operator had returned to the store. Deputies patrolled to the scene and made contact with the driver (Hayes).
Hayes failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested. He was transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward where he was processed. Hayes submitted to a breath test which showed his blood alcohol content to be .20 percent. Hayes was released and is due in Kingsbury Court on a later date.
