Fort Ann woman arrested after dispute over dog

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on January 27, 2018 at about 10:15 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call on Mattison Road in the Town of Fort Ann. A female called 911 reporting she was physically assaulted.  

When deputies arrived on scene, they that the suspect had fled in a vehicle with a male subject to avoid contact with law enforcement. The female victim told deputies she was violently attacked over a dispute of a dog. The female victim suffered head and facial injuries and was transported to the Glens Falls Hospital by Fort Ann Rescue Squad.      

Deputies located Tanna K. Cole, 24, of Mattison Rd in Fort Ann and arrested her for assault 3rd and endangering the welfare of a child. The endangering the welfare of a child charge was filed because the victim’s children were present during the assault. Cole was released on her own recognizance after being arraigned at central arraignment court. A temporary order of protection was issued to the female victim. 

Charges Filed: Endangering the Welfare of a Child (MISD) and Assault 3rd (MISD)
