Woman airlifted in Kingsbury accident, other driver arrested

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Argyle woman after a personal injury motor vehicle accident in the Town of Kingsbury.

At 3:18 pm, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident with personal injury at the intersections of State Route 196 and County Route 43.  After an investigation at the scene and witness accounts,  it was determined that a 2018 Subaru operated by Donna Durkee-Wilson was traveling north on County Route 43 approaching State Route 196 when she failed to stop for a stop sign and struck a westbound 1996 Toyota driven by Jamie L. Fraiser, 37, of Dekalb Road in Granville.

Both of the vehicles were occupied by the drivers only and Durkee-Wilson was not injured. Frasier suffered head trauma and internal injuries and was taken by helicopter to Albany Medical Center.

Durkee-Wilson was subsequently arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. She was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and is due to appear in the Town of Kingsbury Court at a later date. The accident investigation continues and additional charges are possible.
